Provided
J. B. Moore
Electrical provides electrical power, lighting, controls, data
and communications for new installations, renovations, and
repairs for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional
buildings, and utilities. In short we are a full service
electrical and utility contractor. We specialize in the fields
of High Voltage Cable and Equipment, Splicing and Terminations,
Substations, Overhead and Underground Power Distribution,
Traffic Signalization, and outside plant Fiber Optic and
Communication Cables.

Qualifications
J. B. Moore
Electrical Co. is a class A contractor holding Virginia State
Registration No. 2701 009490A for Electrical, Building and H/H
(Heavy & Highways or Utilities). The firm also holds North
Carolina Registration No. 6460 for unlimited electrical work,
and is a pre-qualified contractor with the Virginia Department
of Transportation with Vendor No. M029.
 Insurance
We carry
adequate insurance coverage for Liability, Autos, and Trucks,
Equipment, as well as Umbrella coverage with the Harleysville
Insurance Company. Our employees are covered under Workers
Compensation coverage with Amcomp Insurance.
Safety is a major component of the day to day operations at J.
B. Moore. Working with such high risk activity each day demands
the best safety program around. Employee incentives and weekly
safety meetings on practicing and keeping safe work habits are
the watchword at the company. This has translated into a low WC
modifier rate well under normal 1.0.
Bonding
The company
has had a long standing relationship with its bonding company,
and is able to provide bonds for performance and payables on
projects when required or requested. Our current underwriter is
The National Grange Mutual Companies.
Banking
The
company's bank for its checking, and money market accounts is
currently Wachovia. Also adequate lines of credit with Wachovia
and several other banking and financial institutions are
maintained for additional sources of cash for the day to day
operations, if required.

Moore - Gaston College & Central Va. Community College,
Electrical Engineering Technology - Past President of Central
Va. Chapters of National Electrical Contractors Association, and
Professional Construction Estimators Association - Served as a
Director on the PCEA National Board 1999 - 2003. Was elected
Construction Estimator of the Year in 1997.

Finance
Brenda D.
Moore - Graduated from Central Va. Community College with
degrees in Accounting and Secretarial Science. In charge of all
aspects of firm's accounting, taxes, and payrolls. Coordinates
and is the liaison with the firms outside auditors and CPA's ,
Shackleford & Werthman.
Office Manager
Alice Jones -
Born and raised right here in Lynchburg, Alice is a graduate of
E. C. Glass High School. She has been with us since July
of 2004 and is responsible for managing all of our office
operations. |
