J. B. Moore
Electric is heading to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. They have
been awarded a contract to install about two and one half miles
of 25 KV power cable underground at the Brickhouse Neck complex
near Nassowaddox, Va. on the Atlantic Ocean side of the Shore.
Equipment and materials will be flowing across the Chesapeake
Bay Bridge Tunnel in a few weeks to begin work. |

March 2006 |
A contract to
install over 16 miles of fiber optic cable between Crewe and
Blackstone, Virginia along the eastbound lanes of US Route 460
has been awarded. This will be part of the Mid Atlantic
Broadband System being designed and constructed by Adesta, LLC.
Work is slated to begin early March and completion for this leg
is around mid May 2006. |

December 2006 |
Crews have
completed all work on the new Multipurpose Tank Range (Range 15)
at Fort Picket, Virginia. The 2.5 million dollar electrical
project is over a thousand acres, contains 84 target sites and
is fully controlled via a fiber optic network. J. B. Moore Crews
installed over 84,000 feet of underground conduit and ducts,
67,000 feet of 15 KV primary conductors, and 78 manholes during
the 29 months they were on the jobsite. |

January 2007 |
J. B. Moore
Electric has started work on the new press additions for the
News and Advance, the local newspaper in Lynchburg. They will be
working as a sub contractor on this massive project with
Whiting-Turner Construction Co. |

January 2007 |
J. E. Jamerson &
Sons of Appomattox, Va. have started work on the new additions
for New Covenant School in Lynchburg, Va. They have given J. B.
Moore Electric the contract to install all the electrical work
for this project. |

February 2007 |
Lynchburg College
and Wiley Wilson & Associates has selected J. B. Moore as the
prime contractor to install a 2nd 15 KV primary loop extension
around the entire campus. Work is expected to start early March
and completion by the end of July this year. |

February 2007 |
Liberty University
has contracted with the company to extend its campus primary
power distribution system to its West Campus. This will enable
the University to control more of its power from its central
substation and allow for future expansion at this end of the
campus. Once complete it will also permit Appalachian Power
Company to remove some of their overhead power lines that are in
way of construction for the new Hilton Hotel on Wards Road in
Lynchburg. |

April 2007 |
EDC, Inc. has
awarded the electrical contracts for six stores at the New River
Valley Center, to J. B. Moore. The $1.4 million dollar
contract covers work on over 300,000 sq. ft. of retail area, and
is slated fro completion in October 2007. |

October 2007 |
J. B. Moore will be
working as a subcontractor with Kenbridge Construction for
upgrades and new Ammunition Igloos at the Fort Pickett Ammo
Supply Station in Blackstone, VA. |

November 2007 |
Daly 7 Hotels has
awarded a contract to J. B. Moore for the electrical
installation on a new Spring Hill Suites Hotel across from the
Lynchburg Regional Airport. |

December 2007 |
J. B Moore has been
notified that they will be starting work soon on the Wastewater
Treatment Plant Improvements for the town of Kenbridge, VA.
F. L. Showalter, Inc. will be the general contractor on this
project. |

March 2008 |
"In the first night
game in the history of Worthington Stadium...the historic
contest drew a stadium record 3,183 fans." With only a few weeks
to make it happen, J. B. Moore worked tirelessly to install new
stadium lights at Liberty University's baseball complex. The
NCAA baseball season had already begun when Liberty officials
asked J. B. Moore to light up the field in time for their first
conference game. When the big night came, over 3000 fans
were on hand to appreciate a job well done.
