J. B. Moore Electrical Contractor, Inc. is a professional electrical contracting firm. We provide electric installation and repairs to all type of buildings, sites, industries, utilities, cities, towns, state and federal governments. We do new and renovation work. We will work on a hard bid, fixed fee, design build, or cost plus basis. Much of our project work is done by fixed fee unit pricing for long term contracts for new utility work. Also we have numerous service contract plans available for both preventive maintenance and 24/7 emergency repairs.

INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL & INSTITUTIONAL
Not only has J. B. Moore Electrical been involved with some of the largest, but some of the most challenging types of projects as well. We wired foundries, warehouses, shopping malls, food processing plants, schools, offices, and much more over the past 57 years. We have also wired a old railroad caboose for one customer, and in the same year our crews were busy wiring Nike missile sites for the military.

POWER & COMMUNICATION UTILITIES
Our crews are experienced in overhead and underground power distribution as well as communication lines. We have installed power transmission lines up to 69 KV, numerous substations, and also one hydro-electric power plant. We have in our fleet of equipment, bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, cable pulling rigs, pressure diggers, backhoes, track hoes, trenchers, cable plows, and directional boring rigs with experienced crews to get the lines in the air or under the ground quick and safely. We are often called on to provide equipment and crews to assist in emergency restorations after storms or natural disasters.

TRANSPORTATION (Signals, lighting, NAVAIDs)
We have been installing traffic signals for various cities and state agencies since 1972, and we are familiar with all types of signal equipment and NEMA and IMSA standards. We also have installed runway lighting and NAVAIDs at many of the airports in Virginia and the Carolinas. We are pre-qualified with the Virginia Department of Transportation for signals, roadway lighting, electrical, and fiber optic work, holding vendor no. M029.

REPAIR & EMERGENCY SERVICE
We provide repair service 24/7 in and around the City of Lynchburg and surrounding counties. We also provide service for our preventive maintenance contract customers every where else. Our line crews have been called to assist in storm and disaster rebuilds throughout the Mid Atlantic States, earning several letters of commendation over the years.

TESTING & INSPECTIONS
We have the equipment and the technicians to perform many non-destructive tests on electrical systems. We routinely perform DC & AC Hi-Pot tests for cable and acceptance tests for grounding, switchgear, motor controls, transformers, relays, etc. We also provide testing services to identify and classify for PCB's in equipment. We can do just about any type of electrical testing you may need and provide reports, with certification traceable back to NTSB standards.

EQUIPMENT REPAIR & REBUILD
Over the years our shop located in Lynchburg has built, rebuilt, or repaired just about anything you may think of that's electrical. We have built or repaired custom control panels, remote operated switches, light fixtures, circuit breakers, oil switches, vacuum switches, motor controllers, variable frequency drives, and on and on.

CONTROLS & INSTRUMENTATION
Besides building custom controls in our shop, we do quite a bit of installation for controls and instrumentation systems for industry and water plants. Whether its a 4-20ma loop, analog, digital or fiber optic control system or instrument, we probably have had some experience with it.
